My buddy Paul Watling introduced us to James Black and Rick Jackett of Finger Eleven. These two super talents created a new "Pufnstuf Theme" for us. We are hoping to use it as the soundtrack to our upcoming animated promo.
Todd, I'm writing from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Used to watch this show back in the 70's - and loved it! You're doing a really reat work, congrats! Well, you asked people's opinions, so here's what I think: - you should go with what you remember. Your style is already very appealing to the masses, so no need to re-envision so much; - I like Freddy's style - there's quite a bit of Japanese influence on it. I would avoid teeth - a black mouth would be more graphic. Round eyes maybe would look more Jap and modern than eliptical. I like the position of the holes: looks like bubbles in water.
Will comment more shortly. All the best, Vin www.caffeteria.net
I love the record player; the chicken-like legs remind me of the legendary Russian witch Baba Yaga's house, called Izbushka, which also stood on a pair of chicken legs and was capable of movement. I was a big fan of the original HR PUFNSTUF, and love what you're doing so far! All the best!
